Faith Chapel of Churchville

MINISTRY

A glimpse of Leadership at Faith Chapel

            Senior Pastor Dave Branch
was saved in the
summer of 1970 in a  home church in the village
of Churchville. A few years later, under the

tutelage of  his pastor, he began to teach home
Bible studies in the Churchville, Bergen and
Ogden area. After the pastor left the area to
pastor a church in the Southern Tier,  he
served as Pastor of Churchville Community
Fellowship for about a year and a half until it
was dissolved in 1975. He and Pat then began
          attending a church in Caledonia.

Shortly after he received a call to become interim
pastor of a small work in Gates. After six months
there he returned to Caledonia where he served on
the Deacon Board for 14 years. During that time, he
had many opportunities to preach and was the Adult
Sunday School Teacher for many years. He received
a Bible School diploma in 1986 through
Liberty Home Bible Institute in Lynchburg, VA.
In 1990 Pastor Dave and Pat began attending Faith Temple in Brighton, and
soon became members.  While at Faith Temple he had many opportunities
to  preach  and teach, until he was  sent out to pastor.  He is an ordained
minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Pat is a licensed minister of the Gospel.

In May of 2000, Dave and his wife Pat, followed the leading of the Lord to
start a new church. Churchville was selected because Pastor Dave lives
there and is well known and respected in the community. He chose a team to
go with him to start this new work
, and in September of 2000 they held their first service.
He is currently under the covering of Pastor Ron Domina of Bethel Christian
          Fellowship in Rochester.

      Pastor Matt

Matt Atkinson was saved at the age of 8 while
in a church service that his father, the pastor,
was preaching.  During his teen years he was
involved in his church's youth group and in a
mime troup.  He also worked in the summers at a
Christian Camp in the south western part of
Indiana.  The summer after high school he felt a
strong calling to attend World Harvest Bible
College in Columbus, Ohio.  He majored in Praise
and Worship.  He worked in a wide variety of
ministries while attending the college, such as
prison ministry, food pantry, choir, mime and
puppet troup, youth group, and most extensively
in Children's Ministries.  After meeting his wife in Bible College and getting
married in 1998, they moved to his wife's native Churchville, NY.  He worked
closely with the youth pastors at Faith Temple, in Rochester, NY before
being called to come alongside and help his father in law pioneer a new
church in Churchville.  He currently is an associate pastor there, leads praise
and worship, and is in charge of the youth ministry.

Matt has a desire to be a different and unique pastor, breaking the
traditional mold.  He and his wife, Jen, reside in Churchville and have three children.

     Pastor Gary

Gary Bremer worked in the Information Technology
field for 34 years before retiring from IBM. He
earned a Bachelor degree in Organizational
Management from Roberts Wesleyan College, and a
Masters of Theology from Northeastern Seminary on
the Roberts campus. Gary accepted Jesus Christ as
his savior in 1972 at the age of 25. He and his wife
Sue were married in 1973 and have five children.
They attended Faith Temple in Brighton, New York
for over 30 years and participated in a variety of
ministries there. Gary has also gone on mission trips
to the bush country of Kenya, Africa. In 2000 he
and Sue were sent out as part of a four couple team to start Faith Chapel
of Churchville. They currently reside in the greater Rochester area in upstate
New York. Gary’s ministry focuses on sound Biblical teaching. He also
ministers prophetically, and in interpretive movement and song.

Pastor Deb                 Deb Longer is the most recently appointed
Associate Pastor, but has, in a sense, been
preparing for her whole life. At her salvation
experience early in her teens, she committed
her life to the Lord to become a minister.
That didn't exactly happen until over 40 years
later! She brings a background in sales,
       business management, dance education, and
       varied volunteer experiences, including Youth
For Christ and Teen World Outreach. Her
heart is very much for Seniors, and ministers
with her Christian dance team, the Emmanuel
Dancers, regularly at Senior facilities and
churches.   She brings a people-friendly fresh
approach to her teaching and preaching as she shares from her many and
varied life experiences.  She is also the author of a soon to be published new
book about women in ministry, entitled, “Joint Heirs”.  She and her husband
Glenn, have been married for 20 years and live in Clarendon, Ny. They have 4
         children and 3 grandchildren.
